Maris Westrum

I was born and raised  in the small town of Berthoud, Colorado, aka, "The Garden Spot." I was raised to deeply respect nature and the surrounding landscape, often going on hikes and camping trips with my family.

 

After taking a gap year in between high school and college to teach English in Spain, I attended the University of Colorado, Boulder. The campus soon became my second home and I fell in love with my late nights in Norlin library, huddled away in the stacks studying with a cup of black coffee.

 

I majored in broadcast journalism with a minor in Anthropology. What do these two disciplines have in common? The search and cultivation of humanity and its stories.

 

My philosophy in life is to listen and observe, to spread empowering human stories, and to create exciting and innovating content.
